May 2019 Chairman's Annual Report
It is my pleasure to present the Chairman’s Annual Report of Silk Willoughby Parish Council. In the year 2018-2019 once again it has been a quiet year in the village and as a Parish Council we have dealt with issues involving planning, highways and environment as normal.
We have installed one new dog bin to our existing fleet and finally paid for the speed notice.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our previous District Councillor Mrs Kate Cook for the work and effort she has put into this village.
Our thanks go to Andrew Hagues our County Councillor for all his efforts.
Thanks also to Mrs Jacky Cooney for making the flower tubs so attractive at the entrance to the village, and thanks to the residents of Silk Willoughby for keeping their properties and gardens in good order.
A special thankyou goes to Fred Wright for his work in grass cutting. In fact, when it all comes together we do live in a lovely village.
I would like to thank our press secretary Mrs Jacqui Andrews and the other four members of the Parish Council, Mrs Louise Roberts, Mr Bill Thackray, Fred Wright and John Collinge for the work they do.
Finally, but not least I would like to thank our Parish Clerk and Responsible Finance Officer Mrs Denise Gascoyne. She makes our job as parish councillors very easy with her depth of knowledge and professional competence. Many thanks Denise.
